1 Year Blogging Anniversary - 28.05.2015...

Hey guys, I can't believe it's been a year since I started blogging. I have achieved so much, and my blog is still growing. I know I post rarely, but I just am bad at time-keeping skills and I have had so much coursework to complete because I am in Year 10. (And my computer has been broke. The blogger app is not the best for Iphone.) Excuses, excuses...

I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone of my followers, I have 46 followers on my Bloglovin' account which is just amazing, I remember when I reached 10 and I was screaming so I am bursting inside.

This is the photo that made me start to fill and pluck my eyebrows.
The only people that know about my blog is my sister, this is because if my phone is dead and I see something amazing to take photos of I use hers. I have two sisters so I can't say she is the number one because they both are along with my brother, but seeming my other and sister and her twin brother is five - I don't think they will understand what a blog is.

My blog has came along so much, I remember I was so negative. I would always think that I was too young and nieve to be blogging, but everybody was so accepting. Even on twitter now, when I am abit clueless about something, someone always helps. Which I think is such a lovely environment to be associated with.
See? My new visable and TAMED eyebrow! 😂

As you all know, I am 15 years old and I do have a passion for makeup especially. I am happy to say since I have started to blog my makeup collection has grown alot, and I cannot go now without checking out Superdrug and Boots - just to look but always come out with something.

I try to portray my personality through my blog posts, and I hope I do come off a nice person. Obviously you never fully understand someone because there is alot bloggers keep to themselves, but I feel I do include as much about me as I possibly can. I am still keeping this blog quite to all my friends and family because teenagers that don't understand why bloggers like to blog can be cruel, I don't mind people I haven't met, just people I know. It scares me abit.

Thank you all so much for following my blog, I hope to see you in the comments. If you are new to Blushingly Blonde why don't you follow and keep updated with my posts (which is rarely but I am trying to get better - honestly).

Thanks Again,

                      Leah - Blushingly Blonde. xo

Liebster Award.

Hey guys. I ever thought I'd get nominated to do an award or tag. I was very surprised when yesterday I got nominated for the Liebster Award. I have researched abit about the 'award' and it does suggest a few different strategies so I am just going to pick the one I have saw the most.

Thank you to Adele from All Things Adele. Everyone should go give her loves, follow her and check out her answers for her set of questions because she puts so much effort into her posts.<3. I can't believe how similar we are through our answers. I think this is such a good idea for new bloggers.

So here are the questions she asked :

   1. Why did you start blogging?
I watched loads of YouTube video's about makeup and a lot of tutorials, as I watched more and my subscription list got to nearly 250 channels. (Only about 50 of them were not beauty or fashion) I became more familiar with makeup and found myself wanting to start YouTube videos myself. But I wasn't brave enough, so I kept putting it off and then stumbled across blogspot. I fell in love with reading peoples blog and made my own one day. Now I love it and wouldn't change it for the world.

   2. What is your favorite thing about blogging?
I love the community of bloggers. They are all so nice and genuine. But my favorite thing is probably the feeling you get when someone comments on your post saying thank you for helping, or just a comment. It's reassurance people read your blog and like your contents.

   3. Sweet food or savory food?
Good question :), I have to be in the mood for chocolate or sweets. So I think I'd pick savory. Give me a pack of sour cream and onion party mix crisps any day. Hahaha.

       4. Favorite film?
I am a (not so) secret Hunger Games and Harry Potter Fan :) But I think my absolute favorite film has to be ANY teenage romances. I just think they're so cute to watch - Hahaha.

5.) What do you do in your spare time? (Besides Blogging)
In my spare time I do BSL. (British Sign Language) And I have my Level 1 qualification in BSL. I volunteer at a group who sign songs and raise money for the deaf community.

     6. Where would you go if you could travel anywhere in the world?
I used to go abroad every year when I was little but now I have younger siblings we don't go abroad. They don't like the heat, If I went abroad I would love to go America. The first ever stop would be to Sephora just to experience it in person. Then I'd buy a McDonald's because apparently the meals are bigger than England's? Who knows.

     7. Do you prefer Tea or Coffee?
Easy - Tea. Stereotypical British person :) I only prefer it because I have no sugar in so I find it healthier for me ;) And its not as bitter...

     8. What is your favorite colour?
My favorite colour is White. I don't know why I just think it's clean looking and yeah that's about it :/ Hahaha

      9. What's your favorite type of restaurant?
I don't really eat out I usually have takeaways, but even then it's only when my mum's ill and doesn't want to cook or when we are having a DVD night. But I really love a Pizza takeaway. So Italian :)

     10. Are you a cosy night in or party all night type of person?
Hard one, I don't go to alot of parties but when I do I go all out and don't stop so in some ways I'm a party all night kind of person, but there is nothing better than relaxing in bed reading blogs, watching videos with a nice brew (cup of tea) and a chocolate biscuit...

I hope my answers are OK, I've answered them honestly and I hope you enjoyed reading them.  I tag

Emma Louise from Emmy's Blog,
Katherine from KatherineRosie,
Katie from Curvaceous Beauty,
Leah from Beyond the Velvet,
Rachel from Beyond the Velvet,
And last but not least -
Meg from A Day in the Life of a Teenage Girl.

My questions are:
1.What's your number one played song on your phone/ipod/computer?
 2. If you could throw any type of party, what would it be like and what would it be for?
 3. What would you name your autobiography?
 4. What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up?
 5. What is your favorite smell and sound? (Strange I know! -Haha)
 6. What vision do you have for your blog in the future?
 7. How do you get ready/prepare to write a blog post?
 8. Who was your inspiration to start blogging?
 9. How open are you about your blog, do you tell people alot or are you more secretive?
 10. What is the first feature you look at in someone?

None of you have to do it but I love all your blogs and thought it would be nice to nominate you all <3 Good luck.

Traveling Essentials - Make-up | Leah'xo

Well who's going camping? I am.
I thought this would be a good opportunity to show you what I would take when I am traveling. There is no way just because I am going camping I am going to take nothing, I am pretending it's going to be like the tent in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Anyway, what I take for camping is probably what you all will take abroad or something so here I go:

Simple Hydrating Moisturizer and Bayliss & Harding Lavender Body Lotion.

Miss Sporty Liquid Concealer and MUA Pro-Base Conceal and Brighten Kit.

Natural Collection Pressed Powder with a Lydia Professional Face Brush and a cheap eyeshadow brush from Ebay.

Powder Brush from The Poundshop and George Blush in Little Gem.

No7 Highlighter thing :) Collection Bronze Glow.

MUA Brow Pencil In Blonde.

I know my make-up case isn't nice but it's the only one I have. All the ones I try don't fit brushes into them. I hope you enjoyed seeing what I will take to camping. Really I showed you this to show you, actually all you need is a few things. For Example I use my highlighter as eyeshadow. Love all of you guys :)

My Addiction To Lush | Leah'xo

DISCLAIMER - I AM NOT BEING PAID TO FEATURE ANY PRODUCTS IN THIS BLOG, ALL VIEWS ARE MY OWN. I DID NOT GET PAID TO FEATURE LUSH IN MY BLOG EITHER, I JUST HAVE BECAME OBSESSED TODAY AND THOUGHT YOU'D LIKE TO KNOW.
Watching Bunny's (Grav3yardgirl on YouTube) Birthday Lush haul I decided to drop in today and at first I was looking around and thought - "This is abit overpriced" Then I tried some samples and fell in love They are against animal testing, they only use fresh ingredients, they are 100% vegetarian, they are handmade AND the packaging is plain resulting in easier recycling!! WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR?  . I only bought a small something because I didn't have much money but there's alot on my wish list. I thought I'd share my wishlist with a brief description (from the website!). I think I am going to do one per section because there is alot I would love:

Pink Fun, £5.00 for the amount in picture:-
This Image Had To Be Big Otherwise You Couldn't See It Properly.

This is a magic product, you can use it as shampoo, bubble bath, play-do, soap, body cleanser. SO MANY THINGS. The website says :-
'Ideal for children (of all ages), Pink Fun can be whatever you want it to be. This gentle 4-in-1 product can be used as a solid shampoo, bubble bar, soap, or even for play. One of five colours in the range, this is a nostalgic trip back in time to childhood smells of vanilla and sweets. First, enjoy making models and shapes out of it, and then either break off a small piece and use as a soap or shampoo, or crumble under running water for bubble bath. Its sweet smell comes from tonka absolute, which adds a warm, caramel note.'
Doesn't it just sound amazing, it's like play-do that a teenager can play with and not get funny looks :) ahah.
Herbalism, £6.40 for a 100g tub :-

This is one of the product the woman shown me in the shop today, it is a cleanser for the skin. It smells vinegary and looks like moss. When she picked it up I looked like she was mad. Then she picked abit up and added water. It was like magic! I said that I have been breaking out recently and loads of blackheads have appeared and she said this would be great. I want it so badly now! Shame I didn't have enough money with me! It has the strangest ingredients including NETTLES?! But it is so nice on the skin. The website says :-
'Nettles, rosemary and rice bran vinegar work to cleanse the skin, removing dirt and grease, leaving bright and beautifully clean skin. Chamomile blue oil and rose absolute are used for balancing skin tone. Rice bran and ground almonds will gently exfoliate the skin and when mixed with water, the almonds create a soft cleansing milk. Our chlorophyllin is extracted from alfalfa, which is rich in vitamins and minerals and is great for revitalising the skin.'
Sympathy for the Skin, £11.25 for 240g :-

This product seems like a fairy in a tub. It's a cooling body lotion which doesn't it sound amazing after a hot bath. The website says :-
'We've packed this lotion with bananas, cocoa butter and vanilla to nourish and soften sore skin. Fresh, organic bananas are mashed and added to a loose emulsion of vanilla pod infusion, cocoa butter and almond oil, which helps the skin more easily absorb the vitamin and mineral-rich bananas. Sandalwood is great for dry skin as it’s anti-inflammatory and cooling.'
Tea Tree Toner Tab, £1.00 for each tablet.

This is what I bought today as I seen Bunny had it. I am tempted to do a post about my nightly routine with this included, would anyone be interested? Anyway I think I am going to love this. As I actually have a proppa Facial Sauna I thought this product would be perfect. I am going to crumble half into the bottom of the facial sauna and some in a little cup and I then will use it another day. The website says :-

'If your skin could use a little extra TLC, try this powerful yet gentle treatment of tea tree oil and aloe vera. Tea tree is known for its antibacterial and antiseptic properties, and helps to combat the bacteria that causes spots. Aloe vera is kind, cooling and wonderfully gentle on the skin. Drop into a bowl of hot water, releasing the steam to open pores and allow the essential oils to be absorbed.'

And that's about all I want to try there is so many more products I would love but I tried to be harsh on myself and only tell you 4. When I get abit more money I think I may try some other things but for now I am happy with the Toner.

Would anybody be interested in a review of the tea tree toner tab?
If so make sure to thumbs up this post and follow my blog so you can see when I next update. Also follow me on twitter: Beautybyleahxo

11.1 Mile Walk For Charity | Leah'xo

Hello, I think sometimes I have to write 'daily bloggy' type posts. Today I walked 11.1 miles for charity. I know some people may think that's not long and some people will think it's really long. I personally am not fit and any chance I can I will get out of PE. Hahaha :) I have got a larger and fuller body figure than the average teenager now-a-days so I didn't think I could do it. 4 hours later I can tell everybody I have done it. I didn't get tired, I didn't want to give up; I powered through the first part and then on the way back my converse crushed my little toe so me and my best friend (her converse also done the same!) sort of waddled back. When I say waddled I mean we hardly lifted our feet off the ground and we didn't bend our feet we just sort of struggled through. Every teacher we passed asked if we wanted to stop. Me& my best friend refused to give up. We stormed through the finish line and had a laugh. I would just like to give a big shout out to my best friend - without you I wouldn't of been able to get through it <3

When we walked 6.5 miles that was where we was having lunch. The school (bless them) went all out to make sure we felt good about ourselves. The head's got dragged out and had a chance to speak and socialize with the students, they hired a BBQ to give us all free food. The teachers came around to congratulate. We just didn't have enough time though. We had 20 minutes to eat, go the toilet and then talk and rest. Well, I must of 'rested' for the maximum of 2 minutes... I sat down, to get up and go get a hotdog to sit down and eat the bread (sausage was too hot and I was desprate for the toilet) I then went the toilet and they could only let a few at a time go so I waited for like 10 minutes then I got there and had to wait for the public and a primary school to go. When I got back it was time to go.
 MY FEET WERE KILLING ME.

Anyway, I would just like to thank the school and all my friend's for making this experience a great one (even though none of you will see this) I hope you all had a wonderful day and CONGRATULATIONS.
